My Students

This year I have returned to the Kindergarten classroom after 7 years! My students come to me from various economic backgrounds, but they all have the same desire to learn.

I currently have 11 students, with the potential of adding more, that have come into my classroom excited, a little nervous, and eager to learn.

My Project

I would like to be able to have books available in my classroom library that my students are eager to pick up and read. I want them to get excited about reading. One way to help encourage my students to read is to be sure to provide them a variety of books which includes non-fiction and fiction books, books that may make them laugh and books that may make them want to know more.

It is important to instill in children a love for reading at a young age.

I want my students to have easy access to the books in my classroom by allowing them to choose books from my classroom library that they are interested in reading and allow them to have them readily available to them at their seat. I want to help my student to become lifelong learners through books.
