My Project
Big Joe’s bean bag chair will help my students with autism by providing a calming, sensory-friendly space where they feel safe, supported, and comfortable. Many students with autism have sensory sensitivities, and a soft, flexible seat like a bean bag allows them to self-regulate, reduce anxiety, and better focus during instruction or independent work. Unlike traditional seating, the bean bag molds to their body, offering comfort and a sense of security. This simple addition to our classroom can make a big difference in their ability to stay engaged, learn effectively, and feel at ease throughout the school day.
