My Students
Imagine the most eager, excited, and brilliant young people and you will know what my students are like. As a classroom community, my students work together daily to lift one another up so everyone is successful.
Daily, my students bring their best, and together, we build upon the amazing asset of having such a diverse group of learners.
Our school houses our world's future leaders and we take preparing them for the future very seriously. We want to give them the best!
My Project
Connecting students with nature can lead to all sorts of learning experiences, both planned for and spontaneously lead by students' curiosity. Living in a colder climate means students have different opportunities and during the cold winter months we need to move the learning indoors.
Planting in the classroom has multiple applications including scientific, mathematical, even storytelling and critical thinking.
Students may create growth charts and monitor for changes, documenting their experience through quantitative data and qualitative observation. Experiments can open doorways to questioning and discussion, inquiry, and new learning with their peers.
Providing students with the tools they need will facilitate their understanding of nature and applying their learning deepen critical thought in a hands-on way.
