This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students love science because they go into full force exploration and discovery mode!

Few of my kindergarten students attend pre-school, so this is their first chance to explore and establish themselves as scientists.

With our funding focus shifting away from science and towards literacy and math, their discovery and exploration in this subject could be hindered.

My Project

In kindergarten, students build the science foundation that will serve them not just in elementary school, but as well as in their higher education science courses. My kindergarten students will use these hands on materials to explore life sciences. With these materials they will be able to experience first hand the life cycle of a plant, and with a little help from classroom magic, envision the life cycle of a frog. We will be immersed in life cycle text and print. We will be scientists, making predictions, conducting experiments, recording data, and drawing conclusions.

With your support, my students will be experiencing exciting science in their own classroom.

With these materials my students can begin to see themselves as scientists. Please support our growing scientists explore and discover their love for science!
