My Project
I love that my students come to school everyday with a will to learn. My students strive to become better each day. I want to give them a safe, comfortable, flexile, fun reading and learning environment to grow their reading and ELA skills. This will help students become more confident in their reading skills in turn close the reading gap of many struggling readers. STMS appreciates you!
My goal is to see my students read more.
Right now I have many reluctant readers as Reading may not come as natural to them as it does for others. I want my students to be able to escape and see that reading can be done for enjoyment and pleasure within school too! I know the more you read the more your literacy skills grow. Giving students an inviting place to read is impotent as we all know when adults read for pleasure we find a place we enjoy at home; on the couch or curdled up in an oversized chair.
These items will make a difference by providing a safe and enjoyable space within their own classroom to read and complete their English work.
