Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The students in my school absolutely love the library. I try to make the space as warm and comforting as possible.

With this project, I would like to make the library a more beautiful and environmentally friendly space.

I would like to fill up empty walls with plants, herbs, and flowers. Studies have shown that having plants in schools helps to improve concentration and reduce stress.

Since the students in my school live in an urban area, they have very little experience with growing plants. With this project, I would like to set up an herb garden. Students will be able to help take care of the garden, watch the herbs grow, and eventually will be able to take portions home. I would also like to set up hanging plants on the walls to add to the overall atmosphere of the library.
