This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Help give my students more tools for creating a beautiful school garden.Our students are off to a great start in gaining real-world science learning through cultivating a garden full of vegetables. Our students are starting the process of gardening by learning about the life of a plant, seasonal vegetables, companion planting, healthy eating and teamwork as they work together to grow a garden. The items requested will help the students create a memorable learning experience as it will provide more students access to needed materials. The watering cans and trowels will allow all students to actively work in the garden or planters by the classroom. The benches will give the students a place to sit and eat snacks or take a break and enjoy the garden, building a sense of pride as they can observe the fruits of their labor.
