My Project
My students are hands-on learners who are in need of new gardening supplies, sensory tools, and reading games. In our classroom, we focus on social-emotional learning and executive functioning skills alongside reading, math, and writing. Creating hands-on learning experiences is so important when working with today's generation of students!
Our student-led garden is a safe space for students to go to process their emotions, use coping strategies, and feel a sense of community.
The items in this project will positively impact my student's academic learning and social-emotional needs. The garden fence will provide a beautiful border to our student-led garden and the garden trash bags will be used to clean up and maintain our garden. The word lock game will be used as a hands-on interactive center during our reading instruction and the number bots are a loved tool that is used when students are taking a break.
