My Students
We have a fun loving group of 20 preschoolers who come into our classroom each day full of energy and excitement! They are curious, questioning, playful and loving! We have budding artists, story tellers, construction workers, scientists, mathematicians and of course future mommies and daddies!
We have a very energetic group of preschoolers and as you may have guessed, we love hands on, play based learning!
With 20 preschoolers ranging in age, 3-5 years we have a wide range of learning styles.
My Project
We are hands on learners in Preschool, but, we do enjoy a good story! This project brings the best of both! The books are fun to read and encourage active creativity.
These books will be used to help the children improve literacy skills, learn colors, shapes and practice beginning writing skills!
Having enough books for small group learning allows the children to hold a book and follow along as we read.
So much of our beginning writing practice happens in the art center where the children use crayons, markers and scissors! This improves their fine motor skills, strengthens their pencil grasp and manipulation.
