My students need the gloves, shovels, and a water hose in order to get the ground ready for planting and learning what to add to the soil so we have the perfect growing environment.
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Clemons's classroom raised $400

My Students
The students who attend my school are always looking for challenges. They want to achieve in all areas. The community is very directed towards academics and want the best for their children. The students seem to focus so much on the books they seem to forget there are others to do that they enjoy and learn from . I want the students to be exposed to an activity that allows them to enjoy the fruit of their labor. They will gain an understanding that having a garden will benefit them and their family. It will also help students get away from the stress of everyday activities.
My Project
With these materials we will be able to cultivate more of the planter boxes quicker. Right now we have one shovel and no garden hose. With these supplies we will be able to have more planting space . We will be able to water plants more efficiently and not waste time getting water to the garden. We will be able to plant more plants in a quicker manner with the additional shovels. We will also be able to clean the area without the students complaining about getting their hands dirty with the use of the gloves. The students will benefit from being able to plant crops and learning how to take care of the plants. This will in turn have students become more self sufficient because of the experience of growing a garden in school.
