Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In third grade class, all of my students are curious and full of potential, but many of them are struggling with foundational reading skills. As their teacher, I see how hard they try every day, but they need more targeted support to succeed. That’s why I’m looking for engaging books and CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) word games that will help build their phonics skills and boost their confidence.

Many of my students come from low-income households and do not have access to books or educational games at home.

These materials will provide hands-on, interactive learning experiences that make reading fun and accessible. The books will be decodable and level-appropriate, allowing students to practice reading independently. The CVC games will help reinforce letter sounds, blending, and word recognition in an exciting, low-pressure way.
