My Students
My students come from different walks of life. By coming to school for most, that is an opportunity to let them get away from their daily problems. While in school, they become so full of life and ready to learn and participate in various activities. Some students struggle in a lot of different areas in school, but giving up is not an option for them.
I teach at a Title 1 school where 100% of our students receive free breakfast and Lunch.
Despite so many hardships, my students are very eager to learn so that one day they will have an opportunity to become successful.
My Project
By asking for the personal CD players and books with CDs, will definitely help my students grow as readers. This will allow them to hear reading aside from whole group reading, small group reading and/or peer reading. This project will help allow my struggling readers to go to a quiet place and listen to reading while tracking along.

Good readers also need a chance to listen to reading. A lot of my students don't get to hear a lot of reading other than being at school. This project will help with that problem. This will change our students' lives for the better because they will be able to listen to reading at their fingertips!
