My Project
These courses will significantly enhance my teaching skills and help me better support the diverse needs of my students at my school as we are a Title I school.
Through the Social Emotional Learning course, I will deepen my understanding of how to create a classroom environment where students feel safe, respected, and motivated to learn.
I will learn strategies to help students manage their emotions, build positive relationships, and develop resilience. This will lead to a more supportive classroom climate where every child can thrive academically and personally.
The Multi-tier Reading Intervention course will equip me with effective tools to identify students struggling with reading and provide targeted interventions based on their individual needs. I will learn how to implement small-group and one-on-one reading support tailored to different levels, ensuring that every student receives the right instruction to improve their reading skills.
Finally, the Phonics Learning course will strengthen my ability to teach foundational reading skills through explicit phonics instruction. I will gain strategies to help students decode words, improve fluency, and build confidence in their reading abilities. This course will enable me to provide early and effective support, preventing reading difficulties before they become barriers.
By applying what I learn in these courses, I will be able to create a more nurturing and effective learning environment. My students will benefit from personalized instruction that addresses their academic and emotional needs, helping them become confident, motivated readers and learners.
