Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My second and third grade students are English Language Learners. They range from five different English proficiency levels (entering, emerging, transitioning, expanding and commanding). They are creative and enthusiastic students.
My goal is to have my students become fluent in speaking, reading and writing in English.
I am asking for a large projection screen that students can easily see my presentations. Studies have shown that students learn much more easily when they can both see and hear the lesson. The screen will also be used for students to share their own work, such as writing. Additionally, I am requesting a voice amplifier so that students can hear better while classmates are speaking in class. Finally, I am asking for a pointer, to help students focus on PowerPoint presentations
