My Students

I work with eighty 7th graders at a Title I school. They come to us from a variety of backgrounds with a passion for learning. They love engaging in a wide variety of learning activities and what each one takes to thrive is just a little different.

My Project

I am moving into my seventh year of teaching, and if there is anything that I have learned thus far, it is that we all have so far to go. Just like our students we need to continue in our quest to be life long learners, and the materials that I have chosen will help me to do just that.

These materials will be used to update my data practices, classroom management, and classroom materials.

While these are areas that I feel competent in, I feel like they could use a glow up. Most notably I am stoked to engage with the text on data. This is a hot button issue in teaching, but the text I have chosen takes a more holistic view on the subject and our students. This will allow me to better serve and grow students on the individual and class level.
