I am a special education teacher. My students have a variety of disabilities; however, they are required to take state and district tests. This project will help my students with gross and fine motor skills enhance their abilities to handle small objects. With the requested DNA models and posters, the students will have opportunities to manipulate the pieces mimicking drop and drag application on their tests. The model is complete with different colors and vocabulary words and capital and lower-case letters. Which means I can use the parts of the model to reinforce other learning activities, Individual Education Plans (IEP) goals and objectives, and meet the students at their individual learning levels and needs, while everyone is working on the same high school level task. Socially my students will be able to discuss with their nondisabled peers how a DNA Chain grows.
