Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
This year, I have a class full of energetic and eager 2nd graders! They deserve the best possible learning environment to help them grow and succeed as I know they can achieve so much!

When in my classroom, we are all scientists, teammates, authors, mathematicians, artists, dreamers, and world changers. My students work every day to better ourselves to better the world we live in.
My Project
My diverse group of second graders are avid readers and are constantly on the hunt for a new book to sink their teeth into! In my classroom, my students read for at least 40 minutes everyday so they are always "book shopping" in our library. They get so excited whenever we add a new book to our library!
My low level readers need more books on their level and my high readers need more of a challenge to continue pushing them!
It is essential to keep an extensive amount of books on diverse topics and on various levels so every reader is motivated to continue reading.
My second graders have also recently become very interested in nonfiction and, unfortunately, our nonfiction selection is not as thorough as we would like it to be!
