My Students
I am a first grade teacher at a title one school in Knoxville, TN. Everyday, our students are engaged in the arts. They are able to learn through dance, theater, music, and art.
My group of 22 eager first grade learners love learning and inquiring about the topics that we study.
We are a family within the school and classroom. When they enter the classroom, they know that they are safe and that I believe in them.
My Project
My class would benefit greatly by having a carpet area that helps them work in groups and have a comfortable place to sit. Students will be excited to see with groups are working together and know that they have room to work.
Students love having a place to see their ideas come to life and have their individual learning spaces.
This carpet would allow them to have both. By having a this carpet area, students can design projects that also incorporate the arts like dance, music, and theater. This will allow them the space and area that we need to incorporate all of these.
