My Students
As a teacher in a special education self-contained classroom in a low-income school district, my students are faced with challenges inside and outside of the classroom. Despite the many challenges that my students are facing, I am looking to provide them with a fun, interactive, and meaningful learning environment.
My students have a multitude of needs including physical, cognitive, medical, fine motor, sensory, and communication.
They love learning through a multitude of different means such as sensory activities. They learn best though creative and sensory activities.
My Project
I teach my students in a small group setting. This kidney table will allow my student's to learn in a small group and we will be able to work at this table on a daily basis. There are are many activities that can be done at this table such as sensory groups, social emotional groups, and reading groups.
Small groups are a differientiated way to learn.
Small groups provide the teacher the opportunity to work on their personal groups and get more individualized instruction. This table is versatile and works to teach multiple diffetent subjects.
