My students come from a variety of backgrounds. Teaching in a lower income area, some of my students have been to preschool while others have had no educational exposure at all. Each student comes to school excited and ready to learn.
My goal is to provide my students with the best possible educational experiences.
My students enjoy hands-on learning experiences and I strive to provide them with as many opportunities to explore learning and their environment on a daily basis.
My Project
We meet in the front of our room multiple times every day for group activities such as math exploration and reading. The children also use this area for indoor recess time. We currently have a small rug to sit on but there is not enough room for every student. Some students sit on the floor surrounding the rug.
This rug would give every child a place to sit and learn together as a group.
I would love to have enough room for each child to sit and feel like a part of the group. This rug would give each child the opportunity to work in cooperative groups, work on math problems with manipulatives and read with a partner. By donating to our project you can help provide every child a place to sit and learn together.
