My Project
My students are bright, curious, and full of energy. As first graders, they thrive in a classroom environment that feels safe, inviting, and structured for both learning and collaboration.
Right now, we don't have a rug that allows us to gather as a class for morning meetings, read-alouds, or small group activities.
A classroom rug will give my students a comfortable, organized space where they can build social skills, engage in group learning, and feel part of a classroom community.
Having a designated rug space will help students focus, follow routines, and feel at home in our classroom. It may seem simple, but for six- and seven-year-olds, a rug is more than just a soft surface—it’s where stories are shared, friendships grow, and learning comes to life.
