This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students need to walk into a classroom and not only feel that it is a safe space but that it is also a space where they can be comfortable to be themselves and have their needs met. By creating an atmosphere that cuts down the harsh lighting, they can instantly settle in. By giving them calming strips on their desks, they can have a way to relax when things might get overwhelming. Providing students with basic supplies, like paper, equips them to be ready for the day, regardless of what they may or may not have with them.
