My Project

My pre-K students are full of energy, curiosity and love for learning! And we do that Pete the Cat style! Our entire school qualifies for free or reduced-price lunch. My class in particular is an LA4 class, which means they qualify as a low income family in order to participate and come to school. This also means that funds are low for classroom materials. For many, our classroom is not just a place to learn--it's a safe, stable and nurturing environment. I love to give them that though fun, exciting, vibrant colorful learning that they may not experience outside of the classroom. We're hoping to transform our learning space with a new rug, a cozy bench for our small group table and more comfortable sturdy chairs. These few and simple additions will create a warm and inviting area for learning where we can gather together for Storytime, singing and dancing in personal space, relaxing during rest time, and most of all, build community through play, discussions and shared experiences. Your support will directly impact young learners by making our classroom more welcoming and supportive of their emotional and educational growth. Every dollar brings us closer to creating the kind of environment these amazing kids deserve. Thank you for helping us build a better community!
