Greenhouse and Hydroponic Supplies

Help me give my students opportunities in STEM! These supplies will be used to create a hydroponic garden with my middle schoolers. Additionally, we will be raising spartina grass to transplant to a local coastal marsh.

My Project

My students will be thrilled to have a hands-on project to complete for the good of our local environment. I am taking a class this summer to allow us to grow and transplant spartina grass to a local coastal marsh. Here, the grass will help prevent erosion and coastal flooding.

In addition, my students will be able to create a hydroponic growing system that will produce lettuce.

Our local community garden is mentoring us so that we can learn to produce a crop of lettuce every six weeks. This food would be used in our cafeteria.
