This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year as part of our schools Green Team I want to take my students who have newly arrived to the United States in to the community! I plan on taking my students to the beach to participate in beach clean-ups! Many of our students do not even know how close we are to the beach! As a Green Team building activity I want them to create their own hats to wear when we go on these trips! So each student can choose the hat color they would like, and a patch or two to decorate it! If inclined some students can try creating their own patch and use our Circut to make it! So I included some leather and proper attachments to cut the patch out! I also included the fabric glue and a small iron incase we need to iron on any of the patches!

We live in a beautiful beach town and what better way to support our town then to help keep it beautiful!

Students can express their style while wearing the hat they created, it will also help them block the sun when they are walking on the beach helping to keep it clean! I have also requested gloves, and some garbage picking and sifting tools to also help us keep our town clean!
