Green Table Needs New Chairs!

My students need 4 sturdy new chairs to replace the old wooden chairs we have that are falling apart.

My Students

Our old, wobbly wooden chairs are falling apart! Nearly every chair has had something glued, braced or reattached. We received four chairs for red table at the start of school, and we're hoping for four more chairs for green table!

We are the only kindergarten classroom in our small, K-12 school in rural Missouri.

My students are active five-year-olds who are learning to sit and play table games for the first time. We share our classroom with the first graders during our mixed-age reading time, so our chairs get a lot of use.

My Project

These new chairs will give my students a safe and comfortable place to sit while they work. The chairs are designed to be durable and will also help give our classroom a unified look. They are easy to clean and will help keep our classroom free of germs. My students will gain a great sense of pride and ownership as they learn how to care for their new chairs.

With your help, we can replace the chairs at another one of our tables.

Children will no longer wobble on uncomfortable, pieced-together wooden chairs. They will sit and learn in safe, appropriate chairs. They will know that even little kids can touch the hearts of other people across the country. Thank you for all you do for children!
