Our elementary school in MO currently serves 576 students in grades 4, 5, and 6. This is a Title I school, and approximately 50% of our students participate in the free and reduced-price price lunch program. Currently, approximately 50 students receive food backpacks each weekend through the school's backpack program. More students are being added to this program on a weekly basis. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 15.5% of children in our area lived below the poverty level in 2014.
In spite of the many challenges our students face, they strive to be leaders academically and in the community.
We are a Leader in Me school, and our students work hard to integrate the 7 Habits into their lives on a daily basis through teamwork, service, and personal responsibility.
My Project
Green screen production studios and equipment are being used across the country to give students the power to create videos, sharing ideas with others around the world. Students have the opportunity to practice critical thinking skills, social skills, and gain confidence sharing and presenting ideas effectively.
By supporting this project, you will give my students an opportunity to practice real world skills with innovative technology and videos.
My project asks for an Ipad, a protective case ,a tripod and mount, and microphones for recording audio for the videos. Students will be able to record projects, assignments, announcements, and other projects.
