This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

While learning about climate change and reducing our climate footprint, my students were fascinated how plants clean the air. From there, they were voracious about learning more about plants, how to protect our forests and oceans, and how to make more green spaces on our campus.

How do we learn more about environmental science and make our school more green?

I don't know that much about plants myself, so it'll be a collaborative learning process for students and myself. Having plants, learning how they grow and thrive, caring for them and how they benefit our environment is my big plan for life science next year.
