My Students
My students are middle schoolers at a K-8 school . They are creative, hardworking and come from all walks of life. They love learning and their enthusiasm for education is inspiring to see.
Since my students are becoming teenagers, it is really exciting to see how they embrace their individuality and how they are fearless in the face of adversity.
They want to stand up for what they believe in. They want to have their voices heard against racism, sexism and prejudice. They want to make a difference. Please help them recognize the power they have to lead this next generation!
My Project
We are getting to the time of the year when 6th grade studies my favorite part of Ancient History - Ancient Greece! As we learn about all the Greek achievements and their religion, daily life, and government, we read Greek mythology.
My students love the drama that Greek mythology is full of and they cannot believe all the crazy things the gods and goddesses get into.
During this time we do literature groups and read The Lightning Thief. Many students have read it before so this year I'll be introducing lit groups for the next two books in the series, Sea of Monsters and The Titan's Curse.
