Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I currently teach at the same school where I was once a student. This community and this school hold a special place in my heart. My students come from low-income families and all students receive free breakfast and lunch.
Regardless of their background, my students have so much potential and are just waiting for the opportunity to shine.
I would love to be able to be equipped with new and creative ways to motivate and encourage all of my students to reach for the stars.
I want to foster a love for learning, so my students become lifelong learners.
By learning new strategies that authentically engage students in their everyday learning, my students will come to love school and learning about just anything. They are the future world changers!
My Project
I would like to transform our face to face classroom and our virtual classroom into The Greatest Classroom (Greatest Showman inspired).
Students have endured so many changes this school year, but they still deserve more.
As an educator, I have the ability to bring the MAGIC into the classroom each and every day. I think my students will really enjoy a week at the circus. A week where they can still wear a mask and social distance, BUT have fun learning! I hope to use the circus tapestry, curtain photography backdrop, and circus party decorations to set up the stage to engage for online and face-to-face instruction. I also hope to use a much needed HP OfficeJet Pro printer to make posters and engaging activities for the students to use throughout that week and afterward.
