This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The books in this project have been specially requested by girls who struggle to read - either because they are at below grade reading levels or because they do not have access to content that appeals to them. The goal of this project is to provide books that they have an interest in, knowing that they’ll read them!

I’m proud of these girls for having the persistence to continue reading even though they find it hard!

The books they want to read have compelling story lines, appropriate reading levels, and characters they find relatable. There is a variety of books since our girls have a variety of backgrounds. Throughout their requests the books have a theme of strong leads and good morals. Please help them expand their reading and life skills!
