My Students
In order to implement the new common core standards, I need materials that address the needs of my students and engage them in learning while they are having fun.
I have 28 talented second graders who love to do projects.
My students are full of questions and come to school every day ready to be challenged. In our school in Brooklyn, 57% of the students receive free or reduced price meals. My students love to work individually and to collaborate with each other in projects. They are a wonderful community of second graders who deserve to have the best.
My Project
To get my students kids fired up about math, I need the "Meet the Common Core Math Standards Learning Center" which provides activities for every Common Core math standard for second grade. I also need a "Mastering Math Games Library" to teach my students about place value, fractions and how to tell time.
By donating these math games to our classroom, you are helping my second graders to become great mathematicians in their everyday lives.
When students play math games, they revisit previously learned concepts and practice skills that they have encountered earlier.
