Help me give my students the experience of doing hands on work that inventors did. They will be able to read about he inventor and try to replicate their inventions.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Mapp's classroom raised $238

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students live in a low-income/high poverty, urban school district. They are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom, with challenges including emotional trauma, a high mobility rate, and many other special needs. Many of them are being raised in single-parent households and 99% receive a free lunch and breakfast. My students are 70% Hispanic and 30% African-American. The majority of my students are far below the national and state standards in reading and math.
My Project
My students will enjoy reading about the inventors and how they have created their inventions. The students will be able to work together in small groups to learn about history and designs. With these hands on kits my students will be able to recreate these famous inventions.
This will help my students sharpen their problem solving skills and discover the thrill of inventions!
The Famous Inventors Problem Solving STEM kits will allow the students to engage in STEM activities and as well as peer interaction. This resource will also help my students develop reading skills. We will soon be heading back to the classroom and this will be an awesome way to start things off!
