My Project
Reading is a gateway to a brighter future and my goal is to help my students make as much progress in their reading comprehension as possible this school year. In my classroom this year, my fabulous fourth graders are currently reading at various levels ranging from pre-K to fourth grade. Small group guided reading is the most adequate way to support and promote growth throughout my classroom this year. The goal of this project are to help my students reading at grade levels 2 to 4 reach their end of the year goals for reading comprehension.
Guided reading is vital in helping students reach their goals and to become life-long lovers of literature.
Access to adequate and engaging reading instruction can open up new, exciting worlds for students.
These books will continue to enhance the reading progress that I envision my students making by the end of the school year. Every book on this list has been carefully chosen through vast search for engaging chapter books based on both F&P levels and the interests of my students. As the composition of each reading group is consistently changing based on student progress, the variety of books included in this project are suited to a variety of student interests.
