My Students
I work with a great group of students in kindergarten through 5th grade who speak Spanish, Arabic, French, Chinese, and English. They are working hard to master the skills they need to be successful in life.
I love coming to school each day to work with such hard-working students who are so excited to learn.
They attend a large school of over 1100 students. We have a great school that has recently been designated by our state as a reward school for our students' high achievement and our work at closing the achievement gap. You can help us continue to improve!
My Project
I grew up loving to read, and I am trying to instill that love of reading in my students. One way I do this is by providing fun, engaging books at my students' reading levels. I have a small classroom library where students can check out books to read in their regular classrooms or at home.
My students love graphic novels, and they are always asking for more.
Graphic novels are great for my students who struggle with reading because there is a lot of picture support with the text. Please consider donating to help bring these great graphic novels to my students! Even a donation of $1 makes a difference!
