My Project

My students LOVE graphic novels and manga. In fact, they comprise 46% of all books checked out of the library thus far this school year. This is a collection I am constantly trying to grow for my students but it’s been a challenge keeping them in books! Because a graphic novel can be read more quickly than a traditional novel, my students are flying through them and asking for more titles. Additionally, because our students are no longer permitted to be on their cell phones once they step foot into the school building, I am seeing them check out more books than ever!

The graphic novels in this grant are either the latest and greatest or student requests (like School Dance).

Please help me get more books into the hands of students! Thanks so much!
