Great Chefs Prep It Up!

Help me give my students a prep table and blow torches for food preparations.

My Project

My students are learning to cook at the high school level. Young chefs need to fully know how to organize the kitchen, keep it clean, and access the tools that they need quickly. Every minute of our class is vital to completing our cooking tasks. My students need to have more work room. We need a commercial stainless steel table that allows them to have more space to work. They also need to be able to change the footprint of the room when needed.

My culinary students work closely with each other and to allow for instruction to be seen by all students we move the prep tables to allow for all students to observe my demonstrations and then repeat the skills by with their groups.

This allows for instruction and immediate feedback to the students so they are able to learn as they go. The prep table allows for more work space for the students and with it being on caster wheels, we can move it to when we need to work. We will also use the blow torches in class for various recipes. I closely watch the students when we use these tools and the portable tables allow me to keep a close eye on them.

We do a lot of amazing things in our classes, but we need could really use your support for our culinary classrooms to do so much more. Thank you for your support!
