My Students

This year, I have a wide range of students. Most of my students are Native American. Some are eager to learn, and others will need that extra push to succeed. The children seem to work really well together and encourage each other.

I believe that all students can and will learn.

They just need to be nurtured and encouraged to succeed. Some just need to know that they are loved and can achieve their goals, as long as they don't quit, and never give up.

My Project

I have selected a variety of books for my students to read. I have chosen several books written by Jan Brett. I believe my students would enjoy reading books by this author. Bonus for me, most of them have crafts that go with them to support their learning.

Reading and writing go hand in hand in supporting students learning.

I have chosen primary journals for my students to write about the stories they have read. They can draw a picture about the book they just read and write down something they liked about it. Reading and write will help my kids become more successful in the classroom. Journal writing is also a great way for me to help identify those that might be having difficulties or struggling with learning.
