This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

There is no time and no need to have to deal with negative behaviors in the classroom. When you have a treasure box filled with goodies and lots of positive reinforcement, it is amazing how much harder students will work!

I teach first grade in a rural elementary school in Texas.

Most of our kids come from a low socioeconomic background. My students are motivated to work hard and excited to be rewarded with prizes from the treasure box. They, like most students respond greatly to positive reinforcement.

My Project

With these prizes such as Lego Bricks, Despicable Me Bounce Balls Favors, Melissa & Doug Farm Friends or Light Up Bumpy Rings donated to my classroom, my students will be motivated to work hard and behave well. Our treasure box will be stocked and ready for precious hard working hands to be digging through it. I believe that teachers can make a huge positive impact on a child through many types of positive reinforcement and excitement. Help me bring that excitement of a full treasure box to our classroom!
