This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This is a very exciting and expensive time of year for our families, Grad season will be here in a few months, students are preparing by purchasing their caps and gowns, yearbooks, and senior photos in preparation for their next stage in life.
Students are sharing their excitement about decorating their caps, senior shirts, etc without realizing how costly it can be.
I want to be able to provide the service of decorating their caps and other accessories so that they don't have to spend anymore money than they need to. I bring my personal Cricut machine and supplies to and from school when I can, but its cumbersome and, well, expensive.
So, Here I am hoping that the community and others can help us out with getting a Cricut and supplies for my classroom. We plan on using it for all kinds of things, not just the grad students. For example, for the next 2 weeks I will bringing in my machine (and other craft supplies) so that the students can make a project for their favorite adult on campus. We use it for signage, posters, and so much more!
I would love to be able to provide my students with these "luxuries", I just cant afford it due to spending a minimum of $300 a month on snacks and other creature comforts.
