My Students
Keep my kids reading! My students LOVE graphic novels, but unfortunately, they've read through most of our classroom library. Fill their hands and minds with graphic novels that they are excited to read! We do not have a school library, so my students read whatever is in my classroom.
My students are absolutely wonderful people!
They are struggling readers who are working so hard to get up to grade level in reading. This year they have really fallen in love with reading. Both my girls and boys absolutely love reading graphic novels. My students are part of a diverse, successful charter school. Many of my students don't have access to books outside of school so they love to check out books from our classroom library to read during and outside of school.
My Project
My students love graphic novels so much, that I'm running out of books to give to them. They BEG for independent reading time when they have new graphic novels to read. They are absolutely entranced while they read these books. Many of my students are struggling readers, but graphic novels provide the excitement that my students are looking for while reading. They will be so excited to get these books, especially at this time of year when they have plowed through most of the books in my classroom library. They will have fun reading these books this spring and summer.
We've all had experiences with books that we just can't put down.
For many of my students, until they were introduced to graphic novels, they never had this experience. Help keep the excitement for reading alive in my classroom! My students will be so grateful. Thank you very much!
