Graphing Greatness: Equipping Future Math Champions!
About My Students:
My students are 8th graders in New Orleans, and they are full of resilience, determination, and untapped potential. As part of a math intervention class, they face challenges in mastering fundamental concepts, but they are eager to grow when given the right tools and encouragement. Many have struggled with math for years, often feeling defeated before they even start a problem. However, when they see their progress, their confidence soars. I want to provide them with an engaging and supportive learning environment where they feel capable, valued, and inspired.
How These Resources Will Help:
This project will help my students in three critical ways:
Engagement Through Interactive Learning – The Algebra game, graphing slope posters, and inequalities banner will make abstract math concepts more concrete and accessible, helping students visualize and interact with mathematical ideas in a meaningful way.
Encouragement & Motivation – The teacher stamps will allow me to give immediate, positive reinforcement, celebrating their small victories and keeping them motivated to push forward.
Energy & Focus – Many of my students come to class hungry, which makes it harder to focus. The snacks (Goldfish crackers & Flamin’ Hot Cheetos) will provide a boost of energy, ensuring they can stay engaged and ready to learn.

Provide them with essential supplies to ensure they have everything they need to succeed.
