My Students
My students are all unique learners with different challenges. All of them are on individualized education plans to address their learning needs. By providing hands-on tools, my students can use their strengths and address their weaknesses to rise to their full potential. My students are energetic and active learners who desire to learn like the rest of their typically developing peers.
My topic, math, is especially difficult for students with exceptionalities.
Math can be so abstract but when we provide the right tools it can become concrete and even fun!
My Project
Students with exceptionalities often engage better when they can get out of their seats and interact with the material. These magnetic graphs will allow students to come to the board and see graphs come to life. It will be used as a motivational tool and assessment tool. Increased engagement results in less classroom disciplinary issues and improved progress towards learning goals.
Graphing real life data connects the content with each individual student's life making learning more meaningful and personal.
This classroom tool will be used again and again, impacting students for many years to come! With the right gear, we can graph!
