This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year I have the pleasure of teaching 26 of the smartest and most hardworking students I have ever worked with.

Each day not only do they come prepared to learn but they also have questions and care deeply about their education.

These students have worked very hard for 3 years to master higher level math and now are are placed in the 8th Grade Algebra class. One of the most important tools in the Algebra class is the graphing calculator! Students need a graphic calculator to solve complicated math topics such as linear equations, functions, and polynomials. In order for it to be a helpful tool in the exam, students need to have access to a graphing calculator while they are learning the material. Most of the graphing calculators we have are too old, falling apart or incomplete. It would be extremely helpful to have at least five calculators for students who need them!
