Graphing Calculators for My Ap Calc Bc Class

Help me give my students graphing calculators to help them learn calculus. It's integral to their learning.

My Project

My school is offering AP Calculus BC for the first time since I've been there. (Here's to year 15!) Being a new class also has its challenges. I want to ensure that all of my students have the necessary resources to succeed. These calculators would be used as a class set so that students years from now will still benefit from your contribution. Without adequate funding, public schools often struggle to provide essential tools, like graphing calculators, which are crucial for advanced math courses like AP Calculus. This lack of resources can hinder students' learning experiences and lead to unequal learning opportunities.

With these new graphing calculators, you are helping support an integral part of their learning experience.

The majority of my school's student population qualifies for free and reduced lunch. Asking them to purchase a $100+ graphing calculator would be a heavy financial burden for many of their families. Imagine yourself as one of them. Some might call that empathy, I call that u-substitution. This is the largest project I've asked for, but I know how important it will be for my students. Every little part will help them eventually integrate by parts. Though your support of my classroom may be implicit, they will be able to use implicit differentiation through your generosity.

By raising funds for graphing calculators and other needed items, you are helping to overcome these challenges, support equitable education, and contribute to students' success in their Calculus studies and beyond. I apologize if you did not understand the math puns. Just know, you and my students share something in common.
