My Students

As a teacher in a school that serves students in Pre-Kindergarten through third grade with different learning styles and levels, it is difficult to actively engage all students. I teach 23 second-grade students who are eager to learn new skills and practice them until they are infused into their brains.

The students in my class are excited to accept new challenges with vigor and strive to be the best they can be.

My students love to practice new skills using engaging books, materials, and Chromebooks. With the assistance of these positive and meaningful learning experiences, students will strive to reach academic excellence and goals.

My Project

Students love to explore new stories. As you know, most children love to interact with any book especially if they can read it independently. Any educational experience allowing a child to work independently will improve retention and promotes active engagement.

The opportunities provided by just right books are phenomenal and prove to be engaging for students developing necessary reading skills.

Students will use the graphic novels to improve their reading ability. Students will be reading independently on a daily basis and will continue to practice reading and comprehension skills each day. Also, students will work on their writing skills after reading and complete book referrals for graphic novels that they really enjoy and want others to red as well! With the help of the new graphic novels in our classroom library, students will have the opportunity to complete literacy activities and improve their reading skills.
