My Students
I am teaching at a K-5 elementary school called Eagle Ridge Academy. Our school has over 701 students in a K-5 setting. Our school has many opportunities for students to learn and grow.
I would like to help them achieve their highest potential in my classroom.
I am wanting to update my classroom library to include new books for my students to read. I have been teaching for 13 years. I would like to update my classroom library to include books that the students enjoy reading.
My Project
My students have shown a huge interest in graphic novel sets. I would like to provide these sets as part of my classroom library. We struggle sometimes to get students to our school library so I would like to provide these in the classroom to read.
According to reading rockets, graphic novels are a great way to help struggling readers strengthen vocabulary, build reading stamina and confidence, and develop a deeper appreciation of storytelling.
These help students who struggle to gain confidence in themselves. These books engage readers on a new level. These books are a goldmine for struggling readers! Help me provide these books and boost a child's confidence.
