This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I departmentalize in 3rd grade, this means I have two fantastic groups of students. I have a mix of nationalities, personalities and levels in my classes. They deserve access to a variety of literature. The class set of novels I am requesting are of high interest amongst 3rd grades. This day and age is difficult to engage students in literature of any kind. I strongly believe that these novels will encourage reading. I plan to use these novels during center rotations. Students will read books and take accelerated reader tests.
