My Project

In my classroom, I am not only teaching students literacy and writing skills but life skills, manners, honesty, compassion, patience, and cooperation.

Reading is succeeding; students who read more score higher and have better success not only in reading, but in all other academic subjects.

My students LOVE graphic novels, and having them available is a great way to keep my students reading, particularly reluctant readers. When my students finish a book, I want them to immediately dive into another one. Thus, it is critical for me to have books on my shelves that my students will be excited about picking up and reading! These graphic novels deal with social situations, loss, bullying, friendships, hardships, depression, fear, the power of positive thinking, and more. They will make an outstanding addition to my classroom.
