Graphic Novels for MLL Literacy

Help me give my students engaging graphic novels to improve their literacy skills.

My Project

Teens do not want books that look like they are aimed at young readers. At the same time, MLLs do not have the breadth of vocabulary for grade-level texts.

Graphic novels bring together high-interest themes with visual support for MLL teens to help them improve their literacy skills in English.

Literacy is a vital skill and the best way to improve literacy is through high-interest reading.

These novels will give my students a selection of books for independent reading. Help us stock our library with engaging stories that appeal to teens.
